Itinerary: BARCELONA – VALENCIA – MADRID – TOLEDO – BARCELONA


Day 1: BARCELONA

Arrival to Barcelona, meet and assistance. Transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Barcelona is a Spanish city and capital of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. Located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, about 120 km south h of the Pyrenees Mountain range and has been the scene of many world events. Nowadays, Barcelona is recognized as a global city for its cultural, financial, trade and tourism.

Day 2: BARCELONA -VALENCIA

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the suggested time, our guide will be e waiting for us at the hotel’s lobby to start the Barcelona Sightseeing Tour. We’ll drive through Via Layetana, Cathedral, Gothic Quarter, Plaza Sant Jaume… We’ll continue to the Port and Olympic Village which we shall tour. Subsequently we shall go to Montjuic; panoramic tour of the city and port. We shall tour the Olympic Stadium and Sant Jordi Palace.

Free time for lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, we’ll departure to Valencia.The city is known popularly as the Cap i Casal, the capital of the Turia and during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as the city of 1,000 towers. Located on the e banks of the River Turia, was founded as Valentia in 138 Edetanorum a. C., being Roman consul Decimus Junius Bruttus Galaico. It is a city with many traditions and festivals, among which we would highlight the flaws. Among the most important traditions that exist in the city is the Water Court, declared in n 2009 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Arrival to Valencia and overnight.

Day 3: VALENCIA

Today we’ll enjoy a Valencia sightseeing tour. We’ll have a walking tour with our local guide. We’ll discover the Old Valencia and then we’ll go to visit the e CAC Museum (City of Arts and Sciences). Tickets included: Príncipe Felipe Sciences Museum and Oceanográfic. The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is made up of five main elements: the Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (a landscaped vantage point and car park), the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum (an innovative centre o of interactive science), the Oceanographic (the largest aquarium in n Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (which takes care of the operatic programs). The Ágora gives the complex a multifunctional space.

Day 4: VALENCIA -MADRID

At the suggested time, our driver will be waiting for us at the hotel’s lobby to begin the travel to Madrid.

Madrid is the capital of Spain and the Community of Madrid. It is the largest and most populous city in the country that houses the headquarters of the Government, Parliament, ministries, institutions and partner organizations, as well as the official residence of the kings of Spain. It is an influential cultural center and has internationally prestigious museums among them the Museum of the Prado, surely one of the largest in the world, the Museum National Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza, occupying, respectively, 9th, 15th and 56th among the most visited museums in the world.

Free time for lunch on your own.

During the afternoon, we’ll have a panoramic sightseeing: We will make a panoramic tour escorted by our official English speaking guide. We will show you all different and interesting views of Madrid and Contemporary quarters off Madrid until the Barrio de la Morería (Moorish Quarter) with typical atmosphere the “Mesons” and the architecture of the e old Madrid; the elegant squares, Oriente, España, University Campus, Casa de Campo, Mayor Street, Villa and Mayor squares, Puerta del Sol, Neptuno, Atocha, Alcala Gate and Street the memorial Retiro Park, the Bullring, colorful place in the great days of “Corrida”, and Colón square. It will be followed by the new Madrid with its modern buildings, gardens, large avenues reaching the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium, one of the largest in Europe and Castilla Square (Europe Gate), La Cibeles square, Gran Via.

Day 5: MADRID

Today, we’ll enjoy a full day Toledo tour with our official English speaking guide. (Lunch not included) Toledo is a Museum. City of great artistic beauty, it was capital of the country and one of f the oldest city of Europe. Toledo keeps magnificent examples of architecture from different epochs, arab, jewish and catholic leading artistic cities of Spain and declared by Unesco Heritage of Mankind Town.

At arrival sightseeing tour and walking tour to admire the beautiful streets and monuments and we’ll visit the Cathedral, the St. Tomé Church (The burial of Lord Orgaz, El Greco’s masterpiece), the Victorio Macho Museum, Sculpture Museum located on a spur of land, above a sweeping drop down to Tagus river offering a magnificent views, Santa María La Blanca Synagogue and San Juan de los Reyes Church. We’ll also admire its famous handicraft works: the “Damasquinado” (precious metals incrusted on steel).  Tickets included: Cathedral, Sto Tomé, Victorio Macho museum, Santa María la Blanca an San Juan de los Reyes.

Return to Madrid and overnight.

Day 6: MADRID -BARCELONA

During this morning our local guide will show us the Prado Museum. Tickets included.The Prado Museum is one of the most important and most visited museums in the world. Its main attraction lies in the widespread presence of Velázquez, Goya, Tiziano and Rubens, the museum possesses the best collection about these artists that exist worldwide, to which must be added featured ensembles of such important authors as El Greco, Murillo, Ribera, Zurbarán, Raphael, Veronese, Tintoretto, Van Dyck and Hieronymus Bosch, to name only the most important ones.

After the visit, return transfer to Barcelona (lunch on your own during the way)

Day 7: BARCELONA

This morning we’ll travel to visit Montserrat.

Driving across picturesque little villages s of the province, we reach the outstanding Montserrat Mountain, situated at an altitude of 1,235 m. (about 4,320 ft.). Vi Visit of the Royal Basilica, where the famous XII century romanesque sculpture of “Virgen Moreneta” shall be admired. Tickets included.

Day 8: BARCELONA

Free day to enjoy the last minutes in Barcelona and its magical places, or do some more shopping!

Transfer from hotel to Barcelona airport.
